Sensory ecologies, plant-persons, and multinatural landscapes in Amazonia

چکیده

Seeking to generate a deeper methodological and theoretical dialogue between botanical science anthropology, this paper summarizes interdisciplinary approaches human–plant interactions we have described as “sensory ecology” “phytoethnography”, applying these concepts vital questions about relations in Amazonia. Building on work, broaden the scope of our investigations by considering their relevance field historical ecology. In particular, discuss Eduardo Viveiros de Castro’s concept “multinaturalism” explore how it can be applied understanding management domestication forest landscapes Amazonia Indigenous Peoples.
